Background:
The story of Bruce starts 35 years ago in a small farm to the far east. Bruce was a small child, playful but introvert. Bruce's mother died while giving birth to him, which caused his father to go into a silent despressive state. His father still loved him very much, and he promised his wife that he would take good care of their son. Bruce and his father had a strong bond, they would do everything together. When Bruce's father gets into a depression, Bruce would hug him and talk to him saying that everything would be alright and to try and get his father's mind off the subject, it didn't work all the time, but it did show that Bruce cared for his father. Bruce and his father would always tend to their crops, that was their favorite thing to do. Bruce's father was a great farmer, he could grow anything; but his favorite thing to grow was habanero peppers. Bruce's father loved habanero peppers, and he could grow the spiciest and most flavor packed peppers around. Bruce would try and eat the peppers so he could be like his father, but they were really spicy. Bruce didn't care though, he would still eat them.
One evening Bruce and his father were out tending to the crops, harvesting, watering, and de-weeding. Bruce and his father were talking to each other about his fathers habanero's. Bruce asked if he could eat one of the peppers, his father told him "They're not ripe yet, but they will be soon." Bruce let out an impatient grumble. His father chuckled "You have to be patient Bruce. Patience is bitter, but its peppers are divine." Bruce's father would always say that. Suddenly a horn blew in the distance, Bruce's father knew what was coming. He told Bruce to get in the house, Bruce rushed inside and his father was right behind him. They shut the door and waited. Then there was the sound of horses galloping, it sounded like there was a lot of them. Then they heard a voice call out. "Farmer, come outside or we will break our way in." Bruce's father got up and brought himself outside. Bruce rushed to the nearest window to see what was happening. There were a group of centaur outside the house, and his father was standing in front of them. The centaur who looked like he was in charge then said. "Farmer we have come to seize your crops and your wealths." Bruce's father wasn't one to fight, he would always find a way to solve things without confrontation. His father said "How about we work something out? I can give you half my crops and some of my wealth and then you will leave my farm and never bother my family again." The centaur smirked and said "That wasn't a request farmer, it was a demand!" The centaur then plunged his spear into the farmers chest piercing his heart and instantly killing him. Bruce gasped, he was terrified and distraught as to what happened, tears were streaming down his face and his heart was pounding. The centaur leader shouted to his group, telling them to pillage anything they can. The centaur then separated and started destroying and stealing everything. Bruce saw some centaur's darting towards the house, and so Bruce rushed to the back of the house and sneaked out of a window. Hearing crashing sounds coming from within the house, Bruce then ran away, far away. Bruce came across a cave, he was tired of running so he went inside and curled up into a ball. Bruce was still crying, thinking of his father, remembering all the good times they've had. After a while he fell asleep. In the morning, Bruce walked back to the farm only to find that everything was destroyed, the house was burnt down and nothing was left to scavenge. The only thing Bruce wanted to find was his father's body, but it was also gone. Bruce was left with nothing, so he left the burnt down farm and headed west until he found a small town called Sokel. He decided to live on the outskirts of town, he didn't want to be near anyone unless he had to. Bruce set up camp and lived there for most of his life, turning his make-shift house into a comfortable cabin over the years. Bruce lives in solitude, and is forever haunted by the memory of his father's death.
Other:
Tauren are huge nomadic creatures who live on the grassy, open plains. Tauren are large, muscular bovine-like humanoids with hooves and horns. They stand anywhere from six and a half to nine feet tall and weigh anywhere from 400 to 700 lbs. Their bodies are covered with fine, short fur that ranges in color from black, gray, white, red, brown and tan. Tauren are very spiritual creatures and usually spend their time meditating and conducting rituals to the Earth-mother. Tauren are, in a word, stoic, embodying the strong and silent type with their quiet contemplation. Tauren rarely speak unless there is a true reason to, preferring to act instead of talk. This introspective air combined with their immense size are why many view the Tauren as a wise and dangerous race.
